Activate a trip

For a trip to appear on your public profile, two things need to be in place: the trip itself must be public, and at least one of its editions must be active. These are two separate settings, and both matter.

Level 1 — Make the trip public

The trip's visibility controls whether it shows up on your profile page.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Trips and click on the trip you want to activate.
  2. Open the "Configuration" tab (the third tab in the editor).
  3. Make sure the "Private trip" checkbox is unchecked.
  4. Click Save.

When the checkbox is unchecked, the trip is public and will appear on your profile — as long as it has at least one active edition.

Level 2 — Activate an edition

Each edition has its own status. Only Active editions are shown on the public page with the interest form.

  1. From the trip editor, open the "Editions" tab (the second tab).
  2. Click on the edition you want to activate to expand it.
  3. Change its status from "Draft" to "Active".
  4. Save the changes.

If your trip is public but has no active editions, you'll see an amber banner at the top of the editor reminding you to activate at least one.

Both levels must be set

Trip visibilityEdition statusResult
PublicActiveVisible on your profile
PublicDraftNot visible — no active edition to show
PrivateActiveNot visible — trip is private
PrivateDraftNot visible — both are off

Private trips and direct links

If your trip is private, it won't appear on your profile — and that's fine. Private trips are designed for custom or tailor-made trips where you share the link directly with your clients.

To get the direct link:

  1. Open the trip editor and go to the "Configuration" tab.
  2. Find the "Direct link" section.
  3. Copy the link and share it with whoever you want.

Anyone with the link can see the trip page and express interest, even though it's not listed on your profile. You don't need to activate the trip publicly for this to work — just make sure the edition is Active.

Good to know

  • You can edit active trips freely. Activating a trip doesn't lock it — update photos, descriptions, or prices at any time.
  • Switching a trip to private removes it from your profile instantly. No data is lost — just check the "Private trip" box in the Configuration tab.
  • Edition statuses: Draft, Active, Completed, and Archived. Only Active editions are publicly visible.

When should you activate?

We recommend activating once you have at least:

  • A clear title and destination
  • At least one active edition with dates
  • A short description that tells travelers what to expect

You don't need everything to be perfect — you can always improve it later. The important thing is to start capturing interest as soon as possible.
